OUR VISION AIMED TO ELEVATE THE GARDEN INTO AN INTEGRAL PART OF THE NATURAL PARK
Collaborating with Planell – Hirsch, renowned architects behind the renovation of a residence neighboring the Garraf Natural Park, we looked for a balance between the sophistication of detail and the wild character of the natural park.
We created delimited areas for different uses: swimming pool, sauna, chill-out, allotment, outdoor kitchen area. The working method was adapted to an exceptional situation: the house remained inhabited during the intervention. Delimiting the outdoor spaces helped create a phased construction plan.
In selecting vegetation species, we prioritized adaptability to the environment, sun-hardiness, and minimal maintenance requirements. Among our choices were fruit-bearing trees such as Prunus dulcis, Punica granatum, Olea europaea and Citrus limon, all of them contribute chromatic richness in their flowering and fruiting. Complementing these with species reminiscent of the surrounding forest, the reserves of the Garraf Natural Park, including Arbutus unedo, Cistus albidus and Viburnum tinus.
“It’s a very comfortable garden and easy to share; while some play, others swim, and others collect fruit”.
